Responsible for supporting Revenue Management Analysts with daily activities related to ship management and inventory control, with the goal of maximizing net ticket revenue for the assigned markets.
Position Responsibilities
Manage and monitor ship inventory and product availability.
Analyze group block and create materialization forecasts.
Maintain selling limits caps in the reservation system.
Analyze inventory booking trends and take action as needed to maximize yield.
Identify, evaluate and manage oversell situations.
Analyze inventory reports and work with pertaining parties if action is needed.
Manage guarantee (GTY) reservations.
Open and close tactical promotions in reservation system.
Execute special requests for additional revenue/inventory analyses from management or analyst, as assigned.
Perform other job related functions as assigned.
Education High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience 2 years cruise industry experience, preferably in Revenue Management, Groups Department or Resolution Desk. Experience and proficiency with reservations system is preferred. Revenue Management knowledge is preferred but not required.
Knowledge & Skills
Excellent analytical skills to research and resolve discrepancies.
Knowledge of or ability to learn revenue management concepts, tools and strategies.
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office with intermediate-advanced level proficiency with Excel.
Sound reasoning skills with ability to make decisions in the face of uncertain marketplace performance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively handle inquiries with internal and external clients.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once.
Must be able to thoroughly document work as needed.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be detail oriented and have an ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
