(USA) Director, Marketplace - School & Office Location: Bentonville, Arkansas

Base Pay: $110,000 - $220,000 per year (additional performance-based bonuses and equity may apply)

Position Summary: The School and Office / Arts and Crafts Category Director will develop and execute the Marketplace growth strategy for the category. The role sets business objectives, drives day‑to‑day operations to deliver sales, profit and experience goals, and leads a high‑performing team of account managers to help strategic sellers exceed plans.

Key Responsibilities

Manage financial performance, driving P&L levers including GMV and contribution profit.

Define and execute a Marketplace category strategy including assortment, pricing, inventory, merchandising, and services.

Partner with strategic sellers to drive organic growth, expand selection and improve offer quality.

Develop a category marketing plan that increases traffic and GMV.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with Merchants, Strategy, Operations, International, Site and Marketing teams.

Champion the platform and evangelize new seller services such as Walmart Fulfilment Services and Walmart Connect.

Lead annual and quarterly business planning and performance tracking for strategic sellers.

Lead, coach and develop a team of high‑performing account managers.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.

10+ years of successful retail or ecommerce experience.

Previous general manager/category management with P&L responsibility.

Strategic thinking with strong execution ability.

Experience leading commercial teams and managing change.

Strong initiative in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in cross‑functional team leadership.

Strong advocacy for platform capabilities and seller adoption.
