Senior Director, Enterprise Strategy works with Stanford Medicine leadership to develop, design, and implement enterprise-wide initiatives, translating strategic priorities into comprehensive plans that drive long‑term vision and short‑term objectives. Responsibilities

Drive key strategic initiatives from conception to execution, leading cross‑functional programs with internal stakeholders and external partners. Collaborate with institutional leadership, hospital leadership, faculty, committees, and consultants to support planning and execution of initiatives. Align strategic planning projects across all levels, ensuring departmental initiatives reflect overall organizational priorities. Translate strategies into actionable, quantitative plans and roadmaps, detailing 1‑, 2‑, and 5‑year schedules and metrics. Provide analytical and strategic thinking to isolate business issues, design analytics, develop technical content, and create documents that inform critical strategic decisions. , analyze, and present data to support strategic and operational decision‑making, responding to surveys and data requests and projecting future expectations. Keep Stanford Medicine current with emerging trends and opportunities, monitoring federal, state, and University regulations and policies. Develop content for engagements with key internal and external boards and committees. Establish strong working relationships, serving as a strategic partner to chairs and institute directors. Monitor execution of the strategic plan, evaluating progress against plans and performance benchmarks. Desired Qualifications

Success in strategic leadership, planning, and change management in complex environments; healthcare strategy consulting or internal strategy function preferred. Expert analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent leadership skills and a track record of influencing diverse audiences without direct control. Ability to identify key issues and connect the dots for long‑term strategic goals. Strong communication skills, tailoring messages to effectively fit targeted audiences. Judgment, resilience, and a results‑oriented mindset. Collaborative relationship‑building with faculty and anticipation of their needs. Attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of industry standards, trends, and regulatory requirements. Subject‑matter expertise in areas of responsibility. Multi‑tasking and deadline management. Education & Experience (required)

Bachelor’s degree and seven years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (required)

Demonstrated leadership and supervisory, planning and change management skills. Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence and solve problems. Advanced financial expertise in accounting, budget planning, and financial forecasting. Advanced expertise in grants and contract administration. Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in business and management computer applications and databases. Subject‑matter expertise in areas of responsibility. Physical Requirements

Desk‑based computer work, frequent sitting, occasional standing/walking, and lifting 11‑20 pounds. Occasional sorting/file paperwork and minimal twisting or stooping. Working Conditions

The expected pay range for this position is $206,749 to $261,619 per annum. Compensation will be determined based on scope and responsibilities of the position, qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
