VP Research – Financial Services & FinTech
Citizens’ equity research department covers 400+ public companies and provides institutional clients with comprehensive industry knowledge, unique insight, and actionable information. Senior research analysts develop proprietary investment themes, anticipate secular and cyclical changes, and produce action‑oriented reports for companies in six broad growth industries.
Responsibilities
Write research reports, financial analysis and modeling for more than 40 publicly traded Financial Services & FinTech companies.
Develop financial models, conduct due diligence and industry‑specific research.
Operate across the full research cycle: gather primary literature, proprietary databases, tailored industry surveys, attend management meetings, and investor conferences.
Analyze and update investment themes; respond to requests from institutional sales force and clients.
Publish and cover companies for Citizens’ institutional equity salesforce.
Qualifications
3–4 years of equity research experience in the Financial Services & FinTech sector.
Located in, or willing to relocate to, New York.
High proficiency with Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership and team‑working skills.
Superior work ethic.
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per week: 40+.
Schedule: Monday – Friday.
Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $175,000 – $200,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on location, skills and experience.
