Lifeline Medical Director - Emergency Medicine Physician in Indianapolis, IN
Join our growing and compassionate team at Indiana University Health. We are seeking a Lifeline Medical Director to provide statewide oversight of the IU Health Lifeline EMS division, giving medical oversight for policies, procedures, and clinical scope of care for critical, air and ground, for all ages. This position will primarily be at Methodist or Eskenazi Hospitals and can also cover our community sites.
Position Details
Full‑time clinical with academic responsibilities
72 hours a month of administrative time spent with the Lifeline team
Statewide division with 28 bases across the state
Quarterly scheduling offering more flexibility
Outstanding clinical opportunity with an academic system and affiliation with Indiana University School of Medicine
Dually employed with the IU School of Medicine and IU Health Physicians
Qualifications
BC or BE in Emergency Medicine required
Strong interpersonal skills preferred

It is a highly subspecialized center for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, lung transplantation, and neurocritical care. IU Health is building a new downtown campus that will feature three 16‑story towers with 864 beds, opening late 2027, and the IU School of Medicine is constructing a medical education and research building directly east of the new hospital.
