Position Details:

Hartford HealthCare seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their energetic hospitalist program. The successful Advanced Practitioner will provide full‑spectrum inpatient care including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging and addressing changes in clinical status. New and experienced providers receive a comprehensive orientation from exceptional Physician and Advanced Practice Hospitalists.

Responsibilities

Review patient charts, triage, admit, round, disburse and coordinate inpatient care.

Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational and psychosocial plans in accordance with established protocols.

Consult with physicians and care team members to develop plans for further evaluation or referral.

Provide appropriate treatment within the scope of practice and refer outside scope appropriately.

Qualifications

Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).

Certified or board‑eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
