What We're Looking For
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; BSN/ MSN/ DNP and/or graduate diploma level certification required. Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia; Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA); Recognized by the state as a CRNA; Must meet minimum continuing education requirements every four years.
Experience:
Previous experience not required. Four to six week orientation for new graduates; orientation for experienced providers depends on previous experience and clinical skills.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current RN licensure in the appropriate state; Current CRNA endorsement in the appropriate state; NBCRNA certification; ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications within NH policy.
Additional skills required:
Extensive knowledge of current anesthetic agents, techniques, drugs, and equipment; Ability to modify the anesthetic plan of care suitable to patient age; Ability to make independent decisions under stress while maintaining professional demeanor with patients, coworkers, and physicians.
