Sibley Memorial Hospital - Johns Hopkins Medicine, is a non‑profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital located in the Palisades neighborhood of Washington, DC.

About the position The Oncology Nurse Coordinator‑Navigator has clinical nursing expertise in cancer and functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team. She/he is a clinical resource, advocate, and educator who works with the goal of helping patients, families, and caregivers overcome health care system barriers and facilitates timely access to treatment. You are responsible for ensuring all patients with a cancer diagnosis receive quality and comprehensive services and will serve as resource to the oncology provider team. The Nurse Navigator coordinates patient care throughout the cancer continuum, and serves as a clinical resource with expertise in cancer care management and is a liaison within the facility and to the community. The Oncology Nurse Navigator is present in the medical oncology clinic as a vital member of the oncology care team.

What you will bring
Preferred three years' direct patient care experience in oncology.
Current District of Columbia licensure or eligibility.
Minimum Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
Certification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Program (ONCC) or other cancer specific nursing certification. If not certified, obtain within 12 months of hire.
Salary Range : Minimum $46.18/hour - Maximum $71.58/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
