CEQA Analyst/Project Manager (Senior-Level) Location

Full Time Salary
$43–$67 per hour (equivalent to $90,000–$140,000 per year) Responsibilities
Collaborate with a cross‑disciplinary team to conduct environmental impact assessments on a variety of projects across the Bay Area and California, including biologists, air quality specialists, landscape architects, and planners. Develop and publish environmental documents, independently drafting clear and concise CEQA/NEPA text, conducting research, and maintaining accurate project records. Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder relationships, including subconsultants and clients; represent clients at public hearings and meetings. Lead projects across diverse types such as public infrastructure, park and open‑space projects, residential development, planning documents (General Plans, Specific Plans, Park Master Plans), and school projects, providing technical CEQA/NEPA and compliance programs. Travel as needed for field work, site evaluations, and deadlines; balance overtime with healthy work–life practices. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, urban planning, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus). Knowledge of CEQA/NEPA processes, preferably from consulting or agency experience. Understanding of primary laws (CEQA, NEPA, CESA, ESA, Clean Water Act, etc.) and regulatory agencies (e.g., BAAQMD, RWQCB, CDFW, USFWS, USACE, Coastal Commission, BCDC, State Lands Commission, LAFCo). Experience managing public or private‑sector projects, including compliance, scope, budget, and schedule oversight. Professional, organized, with strong attention to detail and analytical writing skills. Adaptability, teamwork, and independent work capability. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro; familiarity with related environmental software is advantageous. Benefits
