Baptist Health Care The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is the key executive providing leadership to the management team and the information systems staff to plan, manage, and develop strategic information in support of Baptist Health Care and its subsidiaries. The CIO leads the efforts of the CMIO and the CISO to deliver medical informatics and security programs to support the enterprise. The CIO reports to the EVP/CFO and is responsible for information systems strategic planning, policies, enterprise application implementations, project management, system adoption, support, computer infrastructure, and telecommunications. The CIO will be an active participant on the senior management team and serve on appropriate committees. Responsibilities

Proactively work with senior leadership and steering committees to set direction and leverage technology to support hospital operations and competitiveness. Develop and execute a strategic information plan. Oversee development of human resources, information, and payroll systems to increase efficiency. Lead selection of new software, hardware, clinical and telecom systems aligned with the information systems plan. Provide strong, credible leadership and drive operational excellence. Manage a multidisciplinary team, including orientation, development, performance evaluation, and recruitment. Ensure fiscal management of the department and effective communication of departmental information. Assist in other duties as assigned to support operational needs. Remain on campus as required during severe weather or disasters. Qualifications

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or related field. Master's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Health Care Administration, or related field (preferred). Minimum Work Experience

10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience (required). 5+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in a health care environment (preferred). About Us
