Physician - Neurology (Regular-Full Time) Join the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist to provide comprehensive consultative outpatient neurology care at the Columbus VA Ambulatory Care Center in Columbus, OH.

Pay Range Base pay range: $250,000.00/yr - $315,000.00/yr.

Summary The Columbus VA Ambulatory Care Center in Columbus Ohio is looking for a full‑time board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist to join our team. This position will provide comprehensive patient care in the form of consultative outpatient neurology care. Duty location is in Columbus - OH. This position is authorized for Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment).

Qualifications

United States citizenship (non‑citizens may only be appointed if no qualified citizens can be recruited in accordance with VA policy).

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an approved medical school.

Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.

Completed residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.

Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Physical ability to work primarily in a patient care setting.

Duties

Provide neurology care to veteran patients in an outpatient clinic setting.

Prescribe medications and manage referrals and patient care independently and in collaboration with other specialties.

Document clinical encounters in a timely manner in the Electronic Health Record.

Maintain accurate data on all procedures.

Attend section meetings, quality committee meetings, and other administrative functions.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual reports for the department.

Update policies and procedures in compliance with Joint Commission guidelines.
