Principal Product Manager, Strategic Partnerships
This role is based at Expedia Group and offers a competitive pay package with a base salary ranging from $242,000 to $338,500 per year. Depending on location, the total cash compensation may increase up to $387,000 in San Jose or $358,500 in Seattle based on performance. Shape long‑term understanding of partner and traveler needs to identify strategic opportunities and new product bets. Define the end‑to‑end product vision and strategic direction for new partner growth initiatives. Lead the creation and execution of a multi‑year roadmap that drives material commercial impact and aligns multiple organizations. Set the technical and architectural direction for partner experiences in collaboration with engineering leaders to ensure long‑term scalability and platform leverage. Translate market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and emerging trends into strategic shifts that keep Expedia at a competitive advantage. Influence senior and executive leadership through data‑backed narratives, well‑structured frameworks, and crisp decisions that guide resource allocation. Resolve high‑stakes cross‑functional challenges and orchestrate alignment across engineering, design, commercial, and marketing at an organizational level. Lead innovation and AI/ML‑powered capabilities that unlock new value for partners and travelers at scale. Success Metrics & Impact Measures
Growth in booked GBV attributable to partner product initiatives. Successful delivery and adoption of AI/ML or personalization features that generate measurable traveler and partner value. Execution of multi‑year roadmap milestones with measurable impact across multiple products. High stakeholder satisfaction and improvements in cross‑functional alignment. Increased partner engagement, retention, and contribution to business objectives. Improvements in traveler conversion and engagement metrics tied to product enhancements. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business‑related field, or equivalent professional experience. 10+ years of product management experience with a Master’s degree, or 12+ years with a Bachelor’s degree. Strong background in product management for new product development, monetization, B2B/B2C, and AI/ML. Demonstrated success delivering high‑quality, commercially viable products. Preferred Qualifications
Strong product vision, analytical skills, and problem‑solving ability to define KPIs, extract actionable insights, and drive innovative solutions. Excels at prioritizing and managing product backlogs in matrixed environments, driving clarity and focus. Outstanding leadership and stakeholder management, with experience aligning diverse teams and navigating ambiguity. Experience fostering an inclusive culture and mentoring talent.
