Principal, Strategic Payment Partnerships Base pay range: $190,000.00/yr - $266,000.00/yr Expedia Group brands power global travel for everyone, everywhere. Responsibilities Develop payment commercial strategy, deal structure and partnerships to benefit Expedia Group (EG) in areas including fintech, value-added services, emerging payments orchestration/enablers, and other innovative players.

Partner with internal teams (product, tech, legal, treasury, finance, government relations) to identify, prioritize, and execute opportunities; serve as the enterprise-level relationship lead for these partners.

Coordinate with business owners in B2B, Loyalty, Marketing to ensure a coherent, enterprise-wide approach.

Stay abreast of commercial, regulatory, and industry trends in payments; be a trusted thought partner for the Expedia Global Payments leadership.

Advocate for scalable, simplified, and impactful payment solutions leveraging partner insights, capabilities, and innovations.

Lead strategic development efforts, including business case development, stakeholder reviews, and alignment with cross-functional teams.

Drive short- to long-term commercial plans with external partners and lead negotiations, deal structuring, and contracting.

Conduct industry benchmarking, RFI/RFP processes, and identify opportunities with high impact.

Ensure timely delivery of prioritized initiatives with high-quality execution and clear decision-making.

Qualifications Minimum:

Proven e-commerce or payment experience; experience working with external partners; prior experience in major contract negotiations and deal construction; excellent communication and influencing skills with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred:

Expertise in areas such as credit card, financing, virtual card, crypto, AI, B2B payments, or currency exchange; a track record of identifying and executing opportunities with payment partners; experience influencing senior executives; ability to collaborate, clarify strategic vision, and lead with simplicity; comfort navigating ambiguity and operating with agility.

Compensation & Benefits

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $190,000.00 to $266,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to earn up to $304,000.00 based on performance. Starting pay varies by location, budget, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
