Purpose of Job To create positive memories for all who touch DQ and OJ. To oversee entire restaurant operations including financial performance, product production, inventory, personnel, sales, and marketing for the restaurant. To ensure restaurant is operated within guidelines established by owner and franchisor. To set high standards and create a great environment for the team to work.
Essential Functions
Operations
– Strive for operational levels that meet or exceed the Fan’s expectations in the areas of quality, service and atmosphere, creating value through an excellent experience and a fair price.
Training
– Ensure that every member of management and crew is trained and fully knowledgeable on all PRIDE systems and routines, product recipes, food safety practices and restaurant safety practices. Incorporate these systems into day‑to‑day operations.
Business Planning
– Execute the restaurant’s business plan by working directly with the District Supervisor. Manage profit & loss, analyze COGS, maintain inventory, project demand changes, adjust labor, and follow cash control procedures. Prepare forecasts, review reports, and establish financial controls.
Fan Service
– Ensure that fan service meets or exceeds company standards. Handle customer concerns, resolve complaints promptly, build relationships with returning patrons, and maintain service speed.
Team Member Leadership
– Hire, train, coach, and develop a highly skilled team. Conduct performance appraisals, enforce policies, schedule staffing, and maintain a positive working climate.
Health and Safety Standards
– Must be ServSafe® certified or approved equivalent. Maintain safe food handling, sanitation, and emergency response procedures.
Store Marketing
– Attract new fans and increase sales through local, regional, and national marketing promotions and activities.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1–3 years of restaurant management experience with responsibility for profit and loss.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Proven track record of managing COGS and labor.
ServSafe® certified or approved equivalent.
Skills/Competencies Needed
Customer focus – strong hospitality and customer service skills.
Trainer and coach – ability to effectively train and develop staff.
Management skills – excellent track record of coaching and resolving employee relations issues.
Organization and goal focus – highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of overseeing multiple areas in a fast‑paced environment.
Technical – proficiency with computers and Point of Sale systems.
Flexibility and adaptability – willingness to follow directions and meet quality standards.
Integrity – honest, earns trust of others and does the right thing when no one is watching.
Work Conditions
Perform under pressure in a high volume restaurant, moving and responding quickly for long periods.
Work in and out of different temperature ranges, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work around nuts and other allergens.
Food Handlers Card is required.
