About the Role We’re looking for a dynamic leader to guide and inspire a talented team of software engineers, developers, and interns—including global partners and consultants. In this role, you’ll shape the vision, strategy, and execution of key initiatives across the software development life cycle, ensuring innovation and excellence at every stage.

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, project leaders, and fellow developers to deliver high‑quality software components and solutions that make a real difference. Your leadership will drive successful outcomes, from planning through delivery, while keeping senior management informed of progress and achievements.

Beyond technical leadership, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and nurturing top talent, managing resources effectively, and contributing to strategic decisions such as budgeting and team growth. This role reports to the Director of Software Engineering.

Responsibilities

Partnering with and leading large offshore resources to solving complex business needs, serving as the technical contact

Managing your team, including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, and giving appropriate feedback

Writing advanced complex code for computer systems, acting as a senior source of expertise, performing reviews, and leading development

Acting as an acknowledged go‑to person on coding and technical issues

Recommending technical strategy and direction across functional area, participating in the development and evolution of architecture

Working directly with customers and end‑users, and providing design input across a product

Perform reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed

Complete management responsibilities to include performance management, hiring and coaching of staff, and resource planning

Serve as a senior source of expertise for software development best practices

Manage system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure accurate and quality business solutions

Lead the development of technical standards and perform reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed

Provide design input across a product

Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements

Seek diverse ideas and perspectives from a variety of sources to create better solutions, products, and services

Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws

Ensure all staff is provided with training and resources needed to perform their jobs to the most outstanding degree

Manage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations

Empower the staff to be accountable and responsible for their own actions and decisions

Requirements

10+ years in software development, including 3+ years in a leadership role

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

Strong technical background in Java, SQL, .Net, C#, Cloud technologies or similar

Expertise in Agile, SDLC, and modern development practices

Proven experience managing offshore teams and working across time zones

Strong communication, problem‑solving, and project management skills

Have a BS degree in Engineering Computer Science or equivalent experience

Have excellent knowledge and experience in project planning and management tools

Have substantial Software Engineering experience

Have experience in staff resourcing and management, including partnering and offshoring resourcing models

Be a natural problem‑solver and able to take a lead in collaborating to resolve issues

Lead, manage, and mentor engineering teams and offshore partners

Oversee software development, maintenance and production support, when needed

Analyzing customer and system issues and ensuring achievement of service level agreements

Partner with Product and Project teams to align tech strategy with business goals

Drive continuous improvement and innovation in coding standards and deployment practices

Provide clear progress reporting to senior management

Contribute to strategic decisions, resource planning, and budgeting

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $116,000 - $215,500. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
