Learn more about how CR advocates on behalf of our employees. OVERVIEW CR's Data Science Team is business-led and technology-enabled to help drive the strategic growth of our organization. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will take a leadership role in identifying and prioritizing the department's and organization's data analysis needs, and offer and execute innovative approaches to developing new products and insights. Reporting to the Director, Data Science, you will work cross-functionally to acquire and synthesize data to understand both internal and external analytic and product development goals. How You'll Make An Impact Our test results and recommendations help consumers make critical and informed buying decisions, sometimes influencing companies to improve their products to meet our high standards. Your insights will help us offer our members the best experience for finding the information they need to make smart and safe decisions. Daily responsibilities include: Understanding, identifying, and prioritizing organizational product and solution needs, assessing their feasibility based on available data sources. Offering innovative approaches to data collection, synthesis, and analysis to meet client needs. Developing enterprise-wide data platforms to maximize data use and sharing. Leading cross-divisional teams to analyze data from multiple sources for product development. Working with research and testing teams to maintain data analysis standards, ensuring rigor, objectivity, and quality. Identifying opportunities to expand data use to maintain leadership in consumer insights. ABOUT YOU You'll Be Highly Rated If: You have a Master's Degree in statistics, information science, math, physics, or a related field, or 7+ years of relevant experience. You understand consumers and have at least six years of experience in applied data science focused on consumer data product development. You are deadline-oriented and capable of delivering solutions in client-driven settings. You are data-driven, with skills in predictive modeling, regression, and understanding advanced statistical topics. You can turn insights into action with strong data wrangling and feature modeling skills. You'll Be One of Our Top Picks If: You have earned a PhD. You have B2B experience. FAIR PAY AND A JUST WORKPLACE At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and competitive compensation based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Most candidates will fall near the middle of the salary range. We have locations in Yonkers, NY; Washington, DC; and Colchester, CT. Salary ranges: NY/California:

$132K-$147K

annually DMV/Massachusetts:

$126,500-$141,500
