Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care
Summary:
Join a dynamic healthcare facility in Redding, CA, a Level II Trauma Center, specializing in the management of neurosurgery and trauma ICU patients. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in neuro-trauma or neuro-critical care to provide exceptional care to emergency surgical patients, including those undergoing brain, neck, and spine surgeries.
- Manage critical care patients in a high-paced ICU environment.
- Perform low to moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair and IV access.
- Conduct high-risk procedures including G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, and chest tube placement.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care in the Cerner Care B EMR system.
- Provide education and counsel to patients and families regarding treatment plans.
- Current ANCC/AANP (NP) or NCCPA (PA) certification.
- Active state license (required).
- Certifications in ACLS and DEA; ATLS certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in neurosurgery/neuro-critical care or neurology.
- Clean malpractice history.
- Active state nurse practitioner license.
- Board certification from an accredited body.
- Current ACLS certification; ATLS certification is a plus.
