As an Investigative Analyst (Criminal Analyst), at the full performance level, your duties will include: Supporting law enforcement operations and developing strategies to protect the homeland from criminals exploiting immigration laws; Analyzing and reporting on criminal networks and conspiracies; Applying all-source research, collection, analysis, and reporting to support complex investigations; Collaborating with criminal analysts, investigators, and inter-agency partners; Mentoring lower-grade analysts in research and analytical processes; Teaching and enhancing the Framework for Criminal Analysis. Requirements
Conditions of employment: U.S. citizenship required. Successful background investigation and drug screening. Selective Service registration (if applicable). Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret/Top Secret/SCI clearance. Mobility and travel may be required. Qualifications
Limit your resume to 5 pages. Clearly describe your experience; vague descriptions will not be considered. You qualify for GS-7 if you have: One year of specialized experience at GS-5 level or equivalent, or Graduate education demonstrating relevant knowledge, or A combination of education and experience, or A Bachelor's Degree with Superior Academic Achievement. Additional requirements include completing the Homeland Security Investigations Criminal Analyst Training and meeting education verification standards. Additional Information
These are non-bargaining unit positions with salary based on locality pay. Promotion potential is not guaranteed. DHS uses E-Verify. All employees must pass a background check and drug test.
