Classification Summary Volunteers of America Southwest’s (VOASW) Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program provides a whole person approach to care for Medi-Cal beneficiaries. VOASW believes in individualizing services based on need and what works best for the member. Through care management and care coordination, we assess needs and connect individuals to services and resources most appropriate for them. The goal is to improve quality of life, establish support systems, and develop healthy living choices. The Service Validation Analyst will be responsible for quality monitoring, assurance activities, and reporting. The focus will be on transforming, validating, and translating data to ensure compliance with contracted services. Work on spreadsheets to create error and omission reports. Generate daily production, exception, and billing violation reports for management. Collaborate with lead care managers to ensure accurate data input. Follow department standards for analyzing service and billing data. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Perform duties efficiently under pressure and within deadlines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor electronic data collection systems daily. Maintain and analyze spreadsheets for errors and omissions. Prepare reports on production, exceptions, and billing violations. Ensure data accuracy in collaboration with care managers. Adhere to analysis standards for service and billing data. Work independently and as part of a team. Manage workload efficiently under pressure. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, data connections, Power Query). At least one year of experience working with databases for Electronic Health Records. Ability to interpret and report meaningful information from data sources. Intermediate knowledge of Power BI. Experience with Office 365 SharePoint for collaboration. Intermediate knowledge of SQL for managing relational databases. Education Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred, in business, accounting, information technology, health informatics, or related fields, or seven years of relevant experience. Experience Experience in data mining and exception reporting for large healthcare databases. Experience working in substance use disorder or mental health fields is preferred.
