Salary Range $85,000 - $100,000 DOE. The Marketing and Communications Manager (MCM) will create and execute guest communications, promoting on-brand messaging through traditional and digital channels with the goal of enhancing the image of the resort and increasing revenue. The MCM will assist the Director of Marketing (DOM) in building direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activating channels to drive consumer awareness and preference, increasing market share, and building brand awareness. The MCM will be the primary contact for assisting internal departments in planning and promoting programs, offers, packages, and activations to resort guests and potential visitors in national, regional, and local markets. The MCM will be the primary point of contact for Silverado’s public relations agency and creative contractors, assisting with requests and planning for media visits and FAM trips. Must align with Peregrine Hospitality TBO Strategy and focus on recruiting and retaining top talent. Must participate in all required meetings and trainings. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. Connect to resources in the Napa Valley region and assist the DOM in liaising and building deep partnerships with Visit Napa Valley and local and regional listings, websites, and publications to verify marketing efforts are integrated with the selling efforts of these organizations. Execute annual marketing plan to budget, in consultation with the DOM, VP/Managing Director, Food and Beverage Director, Director of Revenue, Resort Manager, and Director of Sales. Also assists the DOM with entry of invoices into accounting system(s). Partner with operations including Food & Beverage, Revenue Management, Golf, Spa, Tennis, and Sales teams to plan, execute and promote offers, packages, and campaigns to drive lodging and incremental revenue to the resort. Maintain marketing digital asset library by keeping all content and assets organized and easily accessible. Act as the liaison between the marketing department and creative contactor(s) on the production of collateral, tactical advertising campaigns, and design, particularly for food and beverage promotions and holiday periods. Identify strategic print media buys for the resort. Work closely with Revenue Management to verify offers are correctly loaded and targeting advertising is directed to relevant consumer groups. Verify all advertising for the resort in digital and print channels is in alignment with brand voice and tone. With the Digital Marketing Specialist, facilitates brand content in social media channels. Develop and execute a comprehensive PR plan with the agency, per quarter. Maintain a comprehensive list of local media contacts, with particular emphasis on food. lifestyle, bloggers. and influencers. Proof and obtain final approval for press releases drafted by agency. Manage the execution of press activities, visits, and FAMs. Support PR strategy to drive quality press coverage through media engagement, in alignment with agency and communications objectives. Verify news clippings and other online, print, and social media mention reports are completed for monthly resort distribution. Manage external vendors. Supports the coordination of photography shoots/needs for the resort. Manage photo shoots for seasonal promotions. Assures all photographers adhere to the brand look and feel. Coordinate and execute all resort printed materials/collateral. 1Verify all collateral as per brand standard guidelines. Project manage the Peregrine Creative Team and the production of all property displays including F&B and temporary signage in public areas of the resort. Proof Club and Owner communications and newsletters. Partner with DOM to create marketing plan aligned with resort budget and revenue strategies. Keep abreast of competition and its collateral, advertising, and marketing efforts and constantly evolving digital and marketing trends. Maintain compliance with Silverado Resort policies, standards, and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operation of the resort. Abide by all resort policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management. Qualifications 4-year bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, business, or related major; or two years’ experience in the sales, marketing, digital, or related professional area; hospitality marketing, advertising, or creative or media agency experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred. Work Conditions and Schedule Weekend and holiday availability may be required as well as flexibility with the work schedule. The scope of the position may sometimes require a work week of over 40 hours, including nights, occasional weekends, and occasional holidays. Light work – Exerting up to twenty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
