RSM is looking for an Audit Manager to join our Lending team, focused specifically on banking and specialty finance, where we are the middle market leaders across the country. Responsibilities
Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds expectations, including coordinating the auditing of all required financial statements, disclosures, and other deliverables. Assess risk and design audit procedures, communicating effectively with engagement teams. Understand and utilize RSM’s Audit Methodology. Manage multiple engagement teams and evaluate staff performance. Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors, facilitating fieldwork and monitoring productivity and schedules. Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to understand significant developments and their impact on audits. Develop others through training, advising on career development, and participating in firm initiatives. Stay updated with industry publications and share relevant information with clients. Address client concerns proactively and escalate issues as needed. Identify opportunities to introduce additional services to clients. Manage project profitability and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior management. Identify performance improvement opportunities and ensure ongoing professional development. Keep abreast of GAAP and firm standards and policies. Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the year, depending on client needs. Required Qualifications
BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent. CPA or CA certification. 5+ years of recent experience in public accounting. Experience leading teams and mentoring staff. Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB, or IFRS regulations. Proven ability to build profitable client relationships. At least 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing multiple engagements. Preferred Qualifications
