The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Physician Resource Team (PRT) include managing ER call and professional fee spend, negotiate hospital-based contracts, and drive efficient spend management processes with executive presence and strong presentation skills. Additional duties include: supporting the company by providing expert advisory and consultative services across Hospital Based specialties, working effectively in a matrixed organization with emphasis on collaboration with team members, thriving in a fast-paced environment, assisting in engagement oversight, planning, and execution for contract assessments, negotiations, and Request for Proposals (RFPs), assessing staffing and coverage models for HCA facilities, managing contract negotiations, ensuring internal approvals are achieved prior to contract execution, collaborating with other cross-functional organizations, developing complex RFPs, managing a Director, evaluating vendor partners' financial performance, participating in regular vendor partner performance evaluations, ensuring smooth implementation of new program start-ups, working with internal executives and vendor partners to strategically assess new ventures, serving as liaison between facilities, internal operations counsel, and valuation firms, working alongside contract creators and internal operations counsel to draft and implement financial agreements, completing confidential due diligence of hospital-based contracts, keeping lines of communication open, demonstrating executive presence and comfort presenting to HCA executives, staying abreast of hospital-based industry trends, ensuring programs adhere to the HCA "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement," valuing teamwork and collaboration when interacting with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with the company's Code of Conduct. What Qualifications You Need
Master's or above degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Law, Nursing, or other applicable field is required. Minimum of seven to ten years' experience in healthcare practice operations, Hospital Based physician services, and/or healthcare consulting. Effective working knowledge of healthcare systems management, hospital management, and healthcare financial management. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Familiarity with hospital based operations required.
