The Senior Superintendent - Charlottesville, VA will be responsible for: Overseeing and coordinating the work of all field personnel, including Foremen, Field Engineers, Assistant Superintendents, and Superintendents Leading and managing all subcontractor activities, including communication with subcontractor foremen to ensure adherence to project goals Developing the baseline project schedule, maintaining regular updates, creating two-week look-ahead schedules, and ensuring timely project execution Conducting daily site inspections, identifying and resolving potential issues, and enforcing the Quality Control Program Managing temporary construction materials by determining needs, performing take-offs, placing orders, and tracking deliveries Coordinating equipment needs, securing competitive rental pricing, and managing rental start/stop dates Enforcing site safety standards through regular inspections, weekly toolbox talks, MSDS compliance, and proper signage installation Managing field office operations including daily reporting, timekeeping, purchase orders, and maintaining purchase logs Maintaining and updating project drawings, ensuring current plans are posted and accessible Providing mentorship and on-the-job training to field staff; participating in internal and external training programs as needed Collaborating closely with Project Executives and Project Managers on schedule, budget, and logistics Leading coordination meetings with stakeholders to discuss progress, challenges, and risk mitigation Supporting the enforcement of site logistics plans, including traffic flow, laydown areas, and deliveries Acting as the primary point of contact on-site to ensure smooth communication across project teams and trades Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal construction codes and regulations MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
