The Superintendent - Charlottesville, VA - Large-Scale Projects will be responsible for: Oversee daily on-site operations for commercial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met. Enforce compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. Conduct daily job site inspections and safety meetings; maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve field issues and ensure project alignment. Schedule and supervise all phases of construction, from site prep through punch list and project closeout. Maintain accurate field documentation including daily logs, progress photos, and subcontractor reports. Ensure quality control standards are met and conduct regular inspections of work in progress. Manage material deliveries, equipment, and on-site logistics to avoid delays and maximize efficiency. Lead coordination and communication between trades to avoid conflicts and promote a smooth workflow. Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients and project stakeholders. Monitor project budget and assist with identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to crew members and junior superintendents. Proven track record managing large-scale, ground-up projects valued at $80M+ Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and site logistics. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical documents. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project). OSHA 30 certification preferred. Proven experience as a mentor/leader. What's on Offer
