Annual Bonus Direct message the job poster from AAC Technologies As the Technical Sales/BD in Lens for AAC Optics, you are responsible for introducing the latest camera lens technology to our customers and you will be the technology advocate for AAC Optics. You will introduce AAC’s technology roadmap to customers and engage customer’s engineering team so they have confidence in AAC’s technology and solution/products. You will lead the tech discussion with customer’s engineering team related to optical lens molding, assembly, test, yield, processes and failure analysis. You will have the opportunity to work on the most powerful, challenging and most innovative optical projects. As a Technical Sales/Business Development - Lens, you will be responsible for: • Expanding existing business by securing new design wins. • Developing new business with emerging Silicon Valley hardware startups. • Acting as the technical liaison between AAC’s R&D teams in China and North American customers, ensuring that customer expectations and technical requirements are correctly understood and communicated. • Identifying market trends in wearables (AI glasses, VR, audio glasses, game controllers), smartphones, laptops (speakers, trackpad actuators), and AI robotics to drive AAC’s market penetration. • Managing the full sales cycle, from technical engagement to contract negotiations and project execution. • Collaborating with AAC’s engineering teams in China to align product roadmaps with customer needs. • Providing market intelligence and competitive analysis to refine AAC’s product strategy. • Handling customer concerns related to product performance, quality, and manufacturing. • Driving projects and programs from concept to completion, ensuring smooth execution across multiple teams and time zones. Key Performance Metrics Success in this role will be evaluated based on: • Revenue from new design wins ($ value of new projects secured). • Number of new customer engagements • Expansion of existing accounts • Successful technical presentations and proof-of-concept demonstrations to customer engineers. • Customer satisfaction scores and feedback. • Effectiveness in project/program execution, ensuring timely delivery of solutions that meet customer expectations. Ideal Candidate Profile • Bachelor’s degree, but a Ph.D. degree is highly desired. (Optical, Physics, EE, Mechanical or related focus) • Deep understanding of the camera lens technology, including all aspects (from design to tooling to manufacturing) • Proven track record of securing new business wins and growing existing accounts. • Experience in leading multi-functional team activities, involving problem solving, issue root causing, identifying and addressing risks • Strong cross-functional communication skills to effectively bridge R&D resources in China with North American customer expectations. • Experience in successfully delivering consumer level electronics components products • Excellent technical, management and communication skills to work with multi-functional teams • Willingness to work across time zones to ensure seamless collaboration between global teams. • Experience in project/program management, with the ability to drive projects from concept to completion while coordinating across teams • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to drive customer engagement and secure new business. • Willingness to travel (up to 25%) to meet with customers and internal teams.
