Senior It Project Manager
Location: Honolulu, HI (hybrid - 3 days a week on site) At TEKsystems, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with a local banking organization that drive business transformation and technology innovation. This role is critical to the successful delivery of strategic programs such as Identity and Access Management (IAM) implementations (e.g., SailPoint) and CRM upgrades or replacements. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecyclefrom initiation through closurewhile ensuring alignment with business goals, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Manager, lead the successful implementation of projects including technologies, products, and processes from initiation through closure. Apply all phases of the project management lifecycle, including defining the project charter, developing and executing the project management plan. Structure and manage project resources effectively to meet deliverables and timelines. Provide performance reporting to appropriate stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure formal project closure, including completion of all documentation and post-implementation reviews. Execute business analysis processes, including Business analysis planning and monitoring, requirements management and communication, enterprise analysis, elicitation and requirements analysis, solution assessment and validation, application of underlying competencies to support business process success. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including but not limited to: Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act. Demonstrate and promote the Excellence in Sales/Service (ESS) philosophy by actively participating in and practicing ESS disciplines and behaviors. Navigate and manage complex projects/programs, gaining stakeholder commitment and building strong relationships with internal and external partners. Top Skills & Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fieldor equivalent work experience. Minimum 7 years of experience in project/program management, preferably in the financial services industry. Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects and supervising professional teams. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Preferred: PMP Certification (PMI) and/or CBAP Certification (IIBA). Experience with IAM systems, CRM platforms, and process reengineering.
