Software Engineer, Vehicle Mobile App

Tesla . The Mobile team in our Vehicle Software org is seeking a highly motivated engineer to develop exceptional user-facing features for millions of Tesla customers. This team manages the Tesla Mobile App, a key component of the Tesla ownership experience, enabling functions such as Summon, climate control, trip planning, streaming sentry cam videos, and more. They are also developing the core Robotaxi experience that aims to revolutionize autonomous transportation. You will be responsible for building features that enhance the customer experience end-to-end, shipping regularly to millions of Tesla owners. Collaborating with design, firmware, vehicle UI, and backend teams, you will have ownership of designing architecture, coding, maintaining, and deploying new features. Our goal is to deliver the best possible mobile experience for Tesla vehicles, and we seek talented individuals excited by this challenge. What You'll Do
Design, code, debug, and own features from concept to release for iOS and Android platforms. Optimize code for performance, stability, and maintainability. Develop engineering solutions based on first principles and uphold high standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, vehicle software, application/UI engineers, QA, validation, and designers. What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. At least 2 years of experience in mobile development for iOS/Android. Proficiency in Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Java; familiarity with TypeScript or JavaScript; experience with React/React Native is preferred. Strong understanding of fundamental computer science concepts and problem-solving skills. Experience with design patterns and a commitment to high-quality, maintainable, and performant code. Experience in creating, maintaining, and shipping top-ranking mobile applications. Benefits
