Java Backend Software Engineer
to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs that power our products and services. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about backend technologies, performance optimization, and building robust software systems. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Java (preferably Java 11+) Build RESTful APIs and microservices that support front-end applications and other services Write clean, testable, and efficient code following best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, front-end developers, QA engineers, and DevOps Participate in design and code reviews to ensure high-quality code Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues as they arise Optimize applications for speed and scalability Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and team collaboration Required Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 0-2 years of professional experience in Java backend development Strong knowledge of Java (Java 8 or higher), Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security) Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and web services Proficient in working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle Experience with version control tools like Git Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) Exposure to messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Knowledge of testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies Understanding of secure coding practices and API security Seniority level
