Sr Associate, Asset Management

Our client is a large respected real estate investment manager who have a large presence in the greater Southeast Region of the US. They have a strong track record of delivering excellent results for the investors across a number of funds. The Sr Associate, Asset Management will lead the implementation and execution of strategies, programs, policies, and initiatives for an existing portfolio of multifamily and campus housing properties. The Senior Associate Asset Management ensures achievement of the financial and operating goals, and overall profitability of the portfolio. Selected responsibilities: Participates and assists in formulating the annual business plan for the assigned assets Reviews, monitors, and reports on the portfolio's performance against budget and investment proforma by analyzing monthly operating and income statements, researching and taking appropriate actions to address variances, managing and monitoring cash flow, and preparing monthly and quarterly client portfolio/performance reports. Communicates with and closely interacts with the Principals of the firm and on-site team members to monitor the daily operation of the portfolio by conducting routine site visits and inspections, reviewing weekly leasing, occupancy, and revenue reports, addressing policies, procedures and compliance issues and developing strategies and programs that maximize the performance of the portfolio. Manages and oversees the portfolio's compliance with the established debt and equity providers Gathers, complies and analyzes market, economic, and capital trends and factors impacting the performance of the multi-family portfolio, prepares and delivers presentations and updates to investment principal/investment committee, and participates in formulating the long-term disposition and exit strategy for the assets. Works with the third party contractors to plan for rehab and other capital improvements, and reviews and monitors progress on existing project to ensure on-time and on-budget completion. Degree in Accounting/Finance and 3+ years' equivalent experience within Asset Management or similar. Specific asset management experience - asset or fund level. Experience working with institutional investors preferred. Open to asset exposure - Multifamily, campus housing, age restricted living, healthcare & life sciences, office etc. Experience with capital improvement project management Experience at interpreting limited partnership agreements, financial statements, and regulatory documents Ability to manage a pipeline of 10+ deals What's on Offer: Market driven base salary plus bonus potential along with benefits such as health insurance, retirement etc. Roughly $110,000 to $145,000 base but will depend on the total experience and fit.
