Senior Cloud Network Automation Engineer SME

to lead the design, automation, and management of cloud-based networking infrastructure across

Azure

and

GCP . The ideal candidate will have a strong networking background and deep experience automating infrastructure using

Terraform ,

Ansible , and CI/CD pipelines. This is not an application DevOps role — we are looking for a

network-centric automation expert . Architect and implement scalable network infrastructure in

Azure ,

GCP , and (optionally)

OCI . Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of firewalls, routers, load balancers, and other network components using

Terraform ,

Ansible , and

Python . Integrate network automation into

GitHub Actions

CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Collaborate with security and platform teams to enforce best practices in cloud networking and compliance. Troubleshoot complex issues in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments. Guide and mentor junior network engineers and automation specialists. Maintain and manage network automation modules in

GitHub

repositories. Stay current with industry trends and provide recommendations to optimize architecture and automation workflows. Must-Have Skills Strong hands-on experience with both Azure and GCP networking. Expertise in Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation. Experience managing and automating cloud networking constructs: In-depth understanding of

network devices

and concepts: Load balancers, firewalls, routers, NAT gateways. Experience integrating automation with

GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines . Ability to manage complex network modules using version control (GitHub). Background in traditional networking, now transitioned to cloud-native automation. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of total networking experience, with 7+ years in cloud networking. Strong scripting skills (Python, Go, or equivalent). Certifications are a plus (Azure/GCP Architect, CCNP/CCIE, etc.). Familiarity with OCI, container networking (Kubernetes), or SD-WAN is a bonus. Exposure to observability tools and hybrid cloud network design. Strong communication and documentation skills. Focused primarily on

application DevOps

or software development pipelines. Limited to a single cloud provider without cross-cloud networking expertise. Lacking hands-on experience with Terraform and network automation. Seniority level
