Clinical Consultant II, Enabling Technologies . This position is based in the Dallas / Fort Worth area and requires the incumbent to reside within the territory and drive to multiple customer accounts throughout the region. A valid driver’s license is essential for this role.

The job will close on 17 Dec 2025. The Clinical Consultant II will provide clinical, technical, and product knowledge support to existing and prospective customers, build and maintain strong customer relationships, and deliver training at all levels. Responsibilities include providing key customer reports for Medtronic NeuroSurgery/Navigation/Robotic Assisted Surgery products and services, performing duties within the Quality System and BCS requirements, and maintaining system hardware and software to maximize performance.

A Day in the Life

This is a field-based role. While the position is remote in that it is not located at a physical Medtronic site, the employee must reside within the territory and travel to multiple accounts throughout the region. The role requires regular travel, interaction with a computer, and communication with peers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, support, and collaborate with other Enabling Technologies team members for on-site installations.

Represent Medtronic during technology-enabled procedures to provide technical assistance.

Maintain system hardware and software, install upgrades, and perform preventative maintenance.

Provide telephone clinical support to customers and use UNIX/LINUX commands to modify operating files.

Fulfill software and service contract obligations.

Act as the primary Medtronic customer liaison for repair and technical support issues.

Deliver timely information to district teams regarding customer concerns and market opportunities.

Maintain familiarity with status of calls and issues at customer sites.

File weekly site visit and customer contact reports for service improvement.

Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel—OR, Radiology, Central Sterile Processing, Biomedical and Information Technologies—on technical matters related to technology-enabled procedures.

Provide a clinical resource for surgeons, clinicians, and others being trained, and update customers on tips, shortcuts, and suggestions.

Participate in in-house sponsored customer training at designated sites for internal and external partners.

Provide training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their personnel (train the trainer). Continually train Enabling Technologies Clinical Support team members.

Work and collaborate with Spinal Sales and NeuroSurgery reps to identify prospective new users for Navigation and Robotics procedures.

Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows.

Submit reports and provide information as directed; cooperate with all personnel on the execution of company programs.

Support more complex, new image-guided products and applications to physicians and hospital staff.

Work as a team member with the Enabling Technologies Region Manager and Clinical Manager to prioritize customer technical support and service expectation goals.

Provide input on new product development based on in-field experience and be responsible for documentation at new or existing installations.

Adhere to company policies and conduct all business in an ethical manner.

Qualifications

Must Have:

Minimum Requirements—High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of clinical, medical sales, or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience; or Associate Degree with a minimum of 4 years; or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years.

Nice to Have:

RT and/or MRI certification; prior experience with Image Guided Systems; prior experience with MRI; operating room experience; preference for local qualified candidates and those with Medtronic experience.

Additional Job Requirements

Employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms; may need to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; normal vision required.

Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance; driving record will be considered.

Frequent travel may be required, including travel outside the territory.
