About The Team The Strategy & Operations team is looking for an Associate Manager to reduce the cost of fraud and build solutions to protect our platform from would-be fraudsters. You’ll specifically be focused on creating our strategy and executing against ambitious goals around consumer incentives to prevent fraud. You’ll grow familiar with our three audiences — Consumers, Dashers and Merchants. Most importantly, you’ll help promote the delicate balance between providing our users the best experience possible while keeping bad actors at bay.

You combine business context and analytics to take a problem area and implement a customized solution, while bringing others along in their thinking and creating leverage through their own teams and collaboration within the broader company.

Key Opportunities

Have a chance to define and implement DoorDash’s strategy in new areas and be responsible for delivering direct business impact to DoorDash

Enable new launches across DoorDash’s platform – build customer incentives to prevent fraud

Influence and engage across the company – partner with the product, engineering, and analytics teams to establish goals and execute against them

Improve through experimentation – use data‑driven decision‑making to run tests on everything to reduce fraud while accelerating growth

We’re Excited About You

4+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, bizops, investment banking, analytics or related experience; high‑growth tech experience preferred

Experience leading large projects, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment

Proven problem‑solving and analytical skills; proficiency in SQL and Excel are required

Bachelor degree required

Compensation & Equity The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

Paid Time Off Details:

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

National base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado: $98,600—$145,000 USD.
