Northern, VA (government facility)
As an Aviation Analyst, you will provide analytic support as part of a diverse team of experts performing military and intelligence analysis across a variety of projects focused on air and air defense systems. Your work will include creating products used to communicate information to a wide range of customers.
Responsibilities
Perform operational analysis and integrate ELINT with other intelligence sources to generate a comprehensive understanding of the threat picture.
Collect, analyze, and exploit data from various sources to evaluate a country’s Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS).
Provide expertise on current and future foreign capabilities in the air/air‑defense domains.
Author comprehensive threat assessments detailing analysis results.
Develop analytic products and research lines in anticipation of customer needs.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience working within the U.S. Intelligence Community/DoD.
Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with a full‑scope polygraph.
Knowledge of the IADS kill chain.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Strong analytic tradecraft, professional writing, proofreading, briefing, and public speaking skills.
U.S. citizenship.
Desired Qualifications
10+ years of experience within the U.S. Intelligence Community/DoD.
Experience with ELINT collection and analysis at the operational or technical level.
Understanding of radar systems and airspace monitoring/weapon control.
Experience with analysis tools such as MIST/THRESHER or equivalents.
Experience with modeling and simulation software and analysis of military systems.
Knowledge of aircraft, air operations, and air defense systems.
Demonstrated willingness to learn new skills/tools and expand knowledge areas as required.
Education and Clearance
Bachelor’s degree preferred (technical) but equivalent life experience may substitute.
Top Secret/SCI with full‑scope polygraph required.
U.S. citizenship is required.
