Job Summary
Interview and verify demographic, biographic, and financial information with the patient and/or family members to complete registration using the Eagle Database System.
Place wristband on patient wrist or ankle for children under 2 years old.
Verify insurance eligibility of all patients through EMEV (Medicaid), MCVR (Medicare), EBLC (Blue Cross), and Clearance (for all commercial insurances).
Distribute information relating to patient’s rights and the HIPPA privacy law.
Obtain patients’ signature on all necessary forms authorizing consent and acknowledging receipt.
Reconcile all patient charts.
Assist patients or family members with inquiries.
Admit patients utilizing the Orchestrate system.
Convert an Outpatient Registration to Inpatient.
Assign beds to all admitted patients.
Perform Bed Transfers in Eagle to ensure patient is in correct room so physician can locate patient in Health Bridge.
Adhere to all Regulatory Standards.
Attend all Registration Meeting and complete all training in a timely manner.
Order laboratory test utilizing the Cerner database and retrieve results upon request.
Perform other job related duties as required or as business need warrant.
Required Qualifications
Must possess good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of related hospital-based experience.
Knowledge of third-party billing in managed care.
Work Schedule Variable Days; 4:00pm to 12:00am (Hourly/Per Diem Evenings)
Salary Range Commensurate with experience and qualifications
