Clinical Case Manager & Therapeutic Coach
Active Recovery Network is currently hiring a Clinical Case Manager & Therapeutic Coach in San Diego. This role combines in‑home coaching with case management for clients with mental health concerns, drug and alcohol issues, and those seeking a more functional and fulfilling life. The position begins part‑time and will grow to full‑time as the case load expands.
Key Responsibilities
Direct work with clients and families to manage and/or overcome mental health and addiction issues.
Utilize assessments, self‑assessments and ARN curriculum to develop client wellness and recovery plans and act as an accountability partner and coach.
Maintain clear boundaries and communicate directly with clients and parents regarding the change and growth process.
Develop strong, healthy relationships with clients to support and challenge them in the change journey.
Teach and model hard and soft life skills.
Maintain fluency in supportive clinical and community resources and build working relationships with treatment and clinical service providers.
Coach parents in ways that support change and growth for the entire family system.
Continuously assess performance, identify challenges and areas for improvement, and demonstrate self‑awareness.
Maintain complete and accurate records.
Model a growth mentality and pursue parallel personal growth work.
Contribute to the mission and vision of the company.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
3‑5 years of experience in a clinical/coaching environment within drug and alcohol or mental health treatment industries.
Proficiency with psychological tools, recovery resources, motivation and behavior frameworks, and understanding of coaching as a change agent.
Clinical license is a plus but not mandatory.
Coaching and leadership experience is a significant plus.
Self‑motivated, coachable, trustworthy, ethical, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proven ability to navigate resistance, deploy motivation techniques, and serve as a positive mentor.
Strong communication skills, multi‑tasking, problem‑solving, and the capacity to stay calm under stress.
Commitment to continuous improvement and a genuine, organized, service‑oriented mindset.
