BI Analytics Engineer
to join our team in
Washington, DC
in a hybrid role of 4 days on client site and 1 day offsite.
You will be part of a high‑performing, diverse team supporting a federal civilian client focused on data engineering and analytics. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external data platform vendors, ensuring the quality delivery of critical data metrics and dashboards. This position will work as part of a team of on‑site data engineers and analysts. This opportunity offers meaningful contributions, room for innovation, and professional growth.
Responsibilities
Supports senior members of the development team with the development and implementation of new reports and dashboards, and enhancements of existing reports and dashboards.
Supports the formulation and definition of reports and dashboards scope and objectives through research combined with a basic understanding of business reports and dashboards and industry requirements.
Analyzes factors and components of reports and dashboards to recommend and institute changes to increase efficiency and improve overall data quality.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors’ Degree with 2+ years of relevant BI Analytics and/or data engineering experience
Proficiency using Structured Query Language (SQL)
Experience collecting or assisting with the collection and documentation of end‑user requirements
Experience developing interactive dashboards tailored to specific end‑user requirements
Experience with data mapping and query development to retrieve required data
Experience with data consistency and quality reviews
Experience gathering, tracking, communicating, and managing technical requirements in a complex environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy)
Experience supporting a federal government client in an on‑site capacity
Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts and principles
Clearance Requirements
U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (required to begin on project)
Physical Requirements
Use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Occasionally move around inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
