Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $108,000.00/yr
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Arts, Science Degree, Master’s Degree, or an Associate Degree in an allied health field, or comparable skilled nursing experience deemed adequate by Regional Director of Operations.
Current state licensure and/or certification/registry, as required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, walk through the department and office, and lift objects weighing up to ten pounds. Must be able to climb stairs, stoop, and reach when performing daily work.
Must also meet physical requirements for the job description of held licensure. For example, Physical Therapist.
Job Relationships Responsible to and reports to the Director of Operations.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and administer all aspects of rehabilitation services and maintain a clinical caseload.
Recruit and retain all rehabilitation service personnel.
Ensure effective orientation and on-the-job training for all personnel.
Promote positive employee relations by facilitating open communication and problem solving.
Conduct performance reviews for all personnel.
Oversee all aspects of rehabilitation service operations at the facility level.
Monitor personnel compliance with standards and take corrective action when needed.
Work with finance personnel to reconcile billing, ensuring accuracy.
Ensure all program standards (MDH SNF and other overseeing agencies) are met.
Identify program development needs of the community and implement appropriate programs.
Develop clinical affiliation programs with educational institutions.
Investigate, follow up, and assist in the resolution of staff, service, and resident-related issues as requested by the Administrator and/or Executive Director.
Review the quality and appropriateness of total services delivered.
Attend facility meetings as requested.
Assess resources and supplies available in the community.
Track MDS Assessment Period Data, including number of disciplines treating, treatment days/week, and daily treatment time, and communicate data to appropriate personnel.
Review resident-specific PDPM category per assessment period and coordinate changes in MDS data according to community procedure.
Utilize tracking systems and implement changes that may be indicated.
Ensure compliance with data entry for resource utilization and CPT coding daily; monitor treatment minutes daily.
Assist with and participate in quality assurance programs as required.
Adhere to established confidentiality standards for residents and the organization.
Maintain appropriate relationships and rapport with coworkers, supervisors, residents, family members, community personnel, and administration.
Project a positive and professional image at all times.
Generate special reports/data to assist the Administrator, Executive Director, and Team Leader in assessing the efficiency and cost effectiveness of rehabilitative services for the facility.
Report to work on time and coordinate schedule to maximize results of rehabilitative services operations.
Maintain a safe and clean work area, adhering to community safety standards, Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and OSHA standards for healthcare professionals.
Perform any other duties as assigned to effectively perform responsibilities in the best interest of
Northwoods Rehab .
Assume responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
Adhere to job responsibilities for held licensure (e.g., Physical Therapist).
