Responsibilities

Apply a fundamental understanding of contract management within the State and Local Government (SLG) domain to provide administrative oversight for a contract portfolio, including review, negotiation, correspondence, documentation, and strategic go‑to‑market activities.

Support RFP/RFQ and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, and provide advice and interpretation of contract requirements.

Collaborate with stakeholders and draft contracts related documents for review by Contract Managers and Office of General Counsel; interface with delivery teams, functional support, and client organizations; act as point of contact, obtaining satisfaction feedback.

Advise leadership and engagement management on contractual rights, obligations, and risks; compile and analyze data; maintain contract information systems; support monthly production and monitoring of metrics and reporting to leadership.

Identify opportunities for innovation within executed tasks, processes, and projects that improve efficiency and effectiveness; ensure contract information systems are accurate and maintained per procedures.

Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of recent experience with operational and business background involving contract management within a large IT or professional services environment; contract review/analysis, paralegal, or legal experience preferred.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Ability to excel in a dynamic, customer‑service oriented environment; capability to multi‑task and seek assistance from supervisors while prioritizing work to meet deadlines.

Strong research, project management, and business analysis skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).

Excellent verbal and written communication, reading comprehension, and critical‑thinking skills with ability to interact with individuals at all levels.

California Salary Range: $70,900 – $143,500. For other locations, salary ranges are provided on the KPMG Careers site. Candidates are considered on a rolling basis until the opportunity is filled.
