We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL programming, transaction processing, and database technologies.
The ideal candidate will work on developing, maintaining, and optimizing mainframe applications in a z/OS environment, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL. Design and implement transaction processing solutions using CICS. Work with IMS database systems, including IMS/DB and IMS/DC. Write and manage JCL scripts for batch processing and job scheduling. Collaborate with system administrators to manage datasets and ensure security compliance. Troubleshoot and optimize mainframe applications for performance and reliability. Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency in COBOL programming. In-depth knowledge of z/OS mainframe operating systems. Expertise in IMS database concepts (IMS/DB and IMS/DC). Thorough understanding of CICS functionalities and programming interfaces. Ability to write and manage Job Control Language (JCL) scripts. Basic understanding of mainframe system administration tasks such as data set management and security.
