Job Opportunity: Senior FPGA Engineer I

We are actively looking for a Senior FPGA Engineer I who enjoys hands‑on, interactive, and autonomous work in a startup setting and who is passionate about developing leading‑edge hardware for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems.
Job Responsibilities
Design, verify, test, and deploy FPGA circuits and systems at the HDL level throughout all phases of the development process.
Develop FPGA HDL designs that support high‑speed serial interfaces, data streams, digital processing cores, multiple clocks and clock domains, and management interfaces.
Conduct testing, validation, and verification of FPGA designs.
Present engineering design review materials to customers and the executive team.
Participate in proposal‑writing efforts and maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Initially work remotely with a planned transition to in‑person work once the Florida office is established.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.
At least 4 years of industry or university research experience in designing, analyzing, and implementing FPGA systems at the HDL level.
Expertise in FPGA design and verification (Verilog/VHDL, HDL coder, Xilinx Vivado, Modelsim, etc.).
Hands‑on experience with lab instruments such as digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience
Aerospace design and qualification experience.
Worst‑case analysis, failure mode and criticality analyses, and reliability analysis.
Experience with board‑level hardware design.
Familiarity with communication systems, including digital signal processing.
