Overview A well-established boys’ elementary school in Flatbush is seeking a dedicated
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
or
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
to support students’ emotional development in a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, collaborative, and committed to fostering student well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and group counseling for students with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design effective intervention strategies
Conduct assessments and maintain organized, confidential records
Lead staff workshops on mental health awareness and best practices
Connect students and families with appropriate community resources and supports
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling
Valid NYS LCSW or LMHC license
Experience working with children (school setting preferred)
Strong understanding of child development and school-based mental health needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and manage a diverse caseload
