IAM Technology is a global engineering and development team providing Identity and Access Management technology for HSBC. We provide and support many of the Bank’s most critical IAM infrastructure services including Active Directory, Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Access Governance. We are passionate about providing high‑quality, automated, and self‑service solutions to our customers. Specialist Engineers within PAM Technology within one of three key functions - SRE, Engineering or Development, working in an Agile pod within a globally diverse team. There are opportunities to specialise in one area or rotate to build a broad range of technical skills in this diverse and exciting field.
This role reports into the PAM Development Function. The role holder will act as a Full Stack Engineer within the PAM Technology Development team and have opportunity to work on multiple products and technologies. The initial assignment will be working in the High Risk Event Monitoring pod to contribute to our Privileged Access monitoring solution enhancements. This is a flexible and fluid engineering function with wide ranging SME engineers able to fulfil all PAM third‑party tooling and in‑house solution requirements.
What you’ll do
Analyze and propose solutions based on business requirements for a broad set of in‑house built services in the Privileged Access Management space
Contribute deep technical skills in development, release automation and solution design to enhance our services
Produce accurate, clear, commented and efficient program code from a wide range of program specifications
Amend and produce external and internal specifications and standard documentation as required at each stage of project lifecycle, including database and application design
Research, develop, and implement new solutions aligned to stakeholder requirements and product roadmaps
Review test data output for program and system modification accuracy and own bug resolution
Complete projects in a timely manner utilising Agile methodology for task tracking
Foster strong relationships with business stakeholders and internal technical teams with focus on transparency and collaboration
What you need to have to succeed in this role
Minimum 5 years of experience working in a development pod preferably within Cyber Security department
Experience in C# .NET Framework and MSSQL server
Experience in Angular Framework and consideration for user experience design
Experience in delivering a change from requirement, through design, coding, testing and deployment stages
Flexible, adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Ability to prioritise effectively and deliver to deadlines
Practical experience with Scrum and DevOps principles
Practical experience with automated testing, TDD, BDD
Knowledge of Microservices architecture, Rest API concept, Cloud technology
