Plan, organize, and oversee a variety of recreational therapy programs to improve the well‑being and enjoyment of our residents. Develop a diverse range of activities, such as games, arts and crafts, music, exercise, outings, and special events, tailored to meet the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of our residents. Collaborate with other staff members to create an engaging and inclusive environment for residents to participate in recreational programs. Assess the interests and abilities of residents to design individualized recreational plans. Manage and maintain recreational equipment and supplies, ensuring their availability and functionality. Document and maintain accurate records of resident participation, progress, and outcomes. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in therapeutic recreation to continually improve program offerings. Coordinate with external community organizations and resources to enhance the recreational opportunities available to residents. Provide guidance and support to recreation staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Qualifications:

Certified Recreation Therapist in accordance with the Public Health Code required. Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when necessary. Demonstrate tactful interpersonal skills when interacting with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public. Exhibit patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, while adapting to residents' varying levels of maturity. Must be a CNA Activity Director Certification preferred.
