In this role, you will be asked to be the primary architecture lead for the design and engineering efforts to support construction of infrastructure development, from concept level to production.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for leading a team of architects to collaborate in a multi-discipline environment
Lead all architectural design concept evaluations and decisions, leading to completion of construction drawings for permit and construction execution
Manage multiple projects throughout planning, design, and support bidding, and construction phases
Responsible for developing architectural design packages for permitting and construction. Review and develop architectural design packages for permitting and construction as well as designs that are cost effective, constructable, code compliant while meeting Tesla's quality and schedule requirements
Present design concepts and progress at project milestones (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC) design reviews to stakeholders and multi-discipline teams
Develop process improvements, workflows, templates to increase design productivity, and document permit exemption lists, AM&Ms, Variances with local jurisdictions
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Architecture or equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years Architectural design experience and Licensed Architect in state of California or ability to acquire state license
Experience in architectural design of buildings for high-tech infrastructure, industrial, or operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.)
Proficient in the use of various computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks
Professional design experience in a wide range of project types including manufacturing facilities, utility plants, office, mission critical/data centers, restaurant, high tech/R&D, biotech/pharmaceutical and industrial
Construction Administration experience including site observation visits and review of RFIs, and shop drawings

Expected Compensation $120,000 - $180,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
