As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to lead and grow our litigation practice in close collaboration with the Firm's Founder. This is a strategic, senior-level opportunity for a results‑driven attorney who values autonomy, influence, and the ability to shape a practice without the bureaucracy of a large firm.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal.
Advise clients on commercial disputes, corporate governance issues, shareholder matters, and business dissolutions.
Develop and implement case strategy, manage discovery, draft pleadings, and handle depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
Collaborate directly with the Firm Founder and senior leadership to develop and expand the litigation practice.
Oversee and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
Maintain and grow client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand the firm's client base.
Manage workflow efficiently while upholding the firm's high standards of professionalism and client care.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the Florida Bar (in good standing).
Minimum 12 years of business and civil litigation experience with proven trial experience (at least six jury trials tried to verdict preferred).
Strong commercial litigation background, including corporate, real estate, and partnership disputes.
Excellent written and oral advocacy, negotiation, and client communication skills.
Highly organized, self‑motivated, and capable of managing multiple matters independently.
Demonstrated business development skills and an existing portable book of business strongly preferred.
