Role Description SMBC is leading a Digital Transformation across its Americas Division. We’re looking for a software developer to join our Nikko development team.
Role Objectives
Design, develop, test, support, and maintain software applications
Use Python, SQL, C#/.Net, middleware IBM MQ for messaging, and AWS/Azure cloud
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, infrastructure, DBA, and other application teams
Qualifications And Skills
7‑12 years of professional software development experience
Hands‑on development in Python and SQL
Strong knowledge of Python programming
Strong SQL skills, able to write and simplify complex queries and improve performance
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Strong analytical and independent judgment skills
Excellent communication skills; experience speaking to technical and business audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the financial domain
Experience with IBM MQ, TIBCO, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging tools
Experience with SOAP and REST APIs
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience designing and architecting systems
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field
