We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our Ajinomoto Tokyo Frozen Noodles team in the Portland area. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing job plans for the Maintenance Department, reviewing and prioritizing work orders, preparing technician schedules, and utilizing CMMS and JDE systems.
Pay Range $70,000–$80,000 per year based on skills and experience.
Schedule Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities
Review work requests and work orders for priority and update status
Determine job scoping requirements or obtain scoping from qualified trades
Develop work procedures for maintenance jobs, including skills, tasks, parts, tools, auxiliary equipment, contractors, and estimated time
Determine required parts/materials for each work order; verify availability and provide details to MRO buyer
Supervise MRO Buyer, CMMS Coordinator, and Parts Clerk to ensure resources are purchased, entered into inventory, and allocated through the work order process
Coordinate with Parts Clerk to determine required parts/materials for all stock items and verify availability
Coordinate with MRO Buyer to identify material requirements, generate purchase orders and required delivery dates
Create and maintain standard task list for PMs and frequent jobs
Generate a complete 14‑day draft schedule (one week fixed, second week tentative) and review with Operations to ensure trade hours and asset availability
Work with Operations and production scheduling to coordinate maintenance shutdown schedule with the production schedule
Work with trades supervisors to understand status of ongoing work, including delays and overruns
Confirm material availability before scheduling jobs
Arrange and schedule necessary special support equipment (contractors, cranes, etc.)
Backlog management including weekly and monthly backlog reviews and purging aged work orders as required
Confirm start dates for work orders based on priorities and production needs
Additional Job Duties
Oversee cycle management of all planning and forecasting relating to purchasing to reduce/eliminate plant downtime or loss of production
Manage stock inventory levels daily to reflect min/max and order as needed
Verify physical stock inventory is completed every 90 days and cycle count by parts coordinator weekly is completed
Manage and ensure locations are properly labeled and maintain a 5S parts room for ease of use
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; some technical education strongly preferred
1‑3 years of industrial maintenance and a technical understanding of plant and facility equipment required
Working knowledge of JDE and CMMS systems preferred
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, required
Strong organizational skills and ability to focus on details required
Strong communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal) essential to interface with co‑workers, team leaders, and managers
Ability to work as part of a team to achieve desired results; self‑motivated and able to work with little or no supervision
Order processing and inventory skills
