Job Title: Mechanical Superintendent
The Project Superintendent is responsible for assisting the Construction Project Manager to ensure that projects are completed while maintaining the standard of excellence established by the company and customer. The role involves executing selected projects, managing financials, administration, implementation, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Quality standards must be maintained across all tasks and projects.
Responsibilities
Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with stakeholders.
Lead and manage the onsite team and subcontractors, and provide daily updates to the project manager.
Coordinate and oversee job site logistics, daily work activities, customer interactions, and the progress of all subcontractors.
Order materials for projects, manage on-site materials, reconcile material shipments, and coordinate equipment and material delivery with subcontractors.
Essential Skills
10 years of experience in the construction industry in a supervisory role – commercial.
Technical experience in a supervisory capacity.
Experience with chiller plants and general construction.
Proficient at reading plans and specifications; familiarity with project schedules, budgets, and safety procedures.
Proficient with MS Office Suite & Outlook.
Excellent communication skills (oral & verbal) – customer-facing.
Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2-year degree from a technical college in a related field with 4 years of experience in the construction industry or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
High School Diploma at a minimum.
OSHA 30 certification (if required, the company will facilitate).
Work Environment The position is on‑site in Orlando. Superintendents need to be flexible with the schedule based on when work needs to be completed, which may include weekends.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maitland, FL.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $48.08/hr.
