Overview DaVita is hiring a Registered Nurse to serve our dialysis patients and help manage our clinical teams at our Minneapolis Uptown Dialysis Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Dialysis experience not required. We will train you!

Operational hours: MWF 5:00 AM - 6:00 PM / TTHS 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Schedule: Work 3‑4 days/week, 10‑12 hrs/day (every other Saturday, closed on Sundays!)

Extensive training: First 9‑12 weeks of employment, group and 1:1 hands‑on training

Registered Nurse Day to Day

30%: Supervises and performs direct patient care including vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessments, transcription of physician orders, and lab work.

20%: Provides dialysis therapy—including formulating dialysis plans per physician orders, weight/rate of ultrafiltration, verifying safety measures, administering medications, discontinuing dialysis per procedure, and documenting activity.

20%: Analyzes assessments, laboratory data, and when concerns arise, brings issues to the physician; communicates emergencies and life‑threatening complications to supervisors and directors.

15%: Assesses patient and family learning readiness and provides education on renal disease, dialysis treatment, and medical regimen; participates in development and implementation of patient care plans and monthly progress notes.

Requirements

Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); or a three‑year diploma from an accredited program may substitute.

Experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg is helpful but not required.

Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) is a plus.

As a DaVita RN, you’ll ensure compassionate and professional delivery of dialysis‑related nursing services in an outpatient setting, ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of your patients. You’ll work in a fast‑paced environment, collaborate with our professional team of clinicians, and use your critical‑thinking skills to solve problems and support patient care.

Qualifications

Current RN license in state of practice.

CPR certification and basic EKG interpretation.

2+ years’ experience with acutely ill patients (ICU, ER, Med/Surg preferred).

Strong assessment, time‑management, and communication skills.

CNN certification is a plus.
