Lead Business Analyst Sierra7, Inc.

Brief Description

Sierra7, Inc. is seeking a Lead Business Analyst (BA), serving in a critical project role responsible for business analysis, including gathering & analyzing user requirements, stakeholder management, system validation, acceptance testing and stakeholder training. This role will oversee activities for a team of business analysts and will support the Scrum Master with change request/ticket creation and management.

Position Responsibilities

Excellent communication skills: presentation, written and verbal.

Provide guidance to team members.

Expertise in creating documentation for Business/Systems Requirements, System Design, Test Plans and Project Deliverables.

Complete data modeling using UML for Business Process Modeling, Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Collaboration Diagrams, Class Diagrams and document them using Microsoft Visio.

Perform requirements and data analysis requirements gathering sessions; document all interactions.

Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from SMEs, user groups and other project stakeholders via collaboration sessions, interviews and surveys.

Work in close collaboration with the Project Manager, Human Factors Engineer and business users to gather, analyze and document the functional and data requirements for the project.

Provide technical writing and procedural support.

Assist in development of business, communications, written and presentation skills including end-user/stakeholder training (reports, training manuals/curriculum, implementation requirements, project status reports, oral presentations).

Knowledge and experience working with VA a plus.

Requirements

Experience working on an Agile team; experience with 3-Amigos; experience leading PI Plannings and other Agile ceremonies.

Ability to multi-task and navigate multiple complex applications.

Self‑starter with quick adoption capabilities.

Expert level knowledge of MS Office suite.

Strong communication skills.

Strong experience with XSD, XML data exchange format, relational data modelling.

Backend research capabilities (SQL) strongly preferred.

Knowledge of user interfaces / website design; ability to create mock screens and/or mock reports.

Ability to collaborate and foster teamwork.

Ability to build and sustain customer/stakeholder relationships and gain acceptance.

Detail‑oriented and methodical in approach to analysis, documentation and communication.

Strong skills in assigning, follow‑up and tracking/closure of action items.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to identify data patterns within large volumes of structured and unstructured information.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or similar technical discipline ( 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education ).

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience working in Business Analysis.

Minimum of 2 years as a Lead Business Analyst.

As required by local law, Sierra7 provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is $80,000.00–$102,000.00 USD.
